This article applies to the following phone sets and explains how to increase ringer/caller voice volume & adjusting ring tones.
*Once the volume levels are maxed, this is as loud as the handsets can get.*
Cisco 3905 (Wall-Mounted Phone):
Ringer Volume:
From an inactive call, press the + or – buttons to increase/decrease the ringer volume.
Caller Voice Volume:
From an active call, press the + or – buttons to increase/decrease the caller’s voice volume.
Ring Tones:

Press Applications . |
Step 2 |
Use the Navigation bar and button to scroll and select Preferences. |
Step 3 |
Select Ringtone. |
Step 4 |
Select a ringtone. |
Step 5 |
Press the Select button to confirm your selection and play a sample. |
Step 6 |
Press the button to return to the Preferences screen. |
Cisco 7811 (Table-Top Phone):
Ringer Volume:
From an inactive call, press the + or – buttons to increase/decrease the ringer volume.
Caller Voice Volume:
From an active call, press the + or – buttons to increase/decrease the caller’s voice volume.
Ring Tones:
Step 1 |
Press Applications . |
Step 2 |
Select Settings > Ringtone. |
Step 3 |
Select a line. |
Step 4 |
Scroll through the list of ringtones and press Play to hear a sample. |
Step 5 |
Press Set to use the ringtone. |
