User account changes required in AD for Android MS VPN connectivity
1: In “Active Directory Users and Computers” console, search for the user account in question.
2: Take “Properties” of user account, click on “Account” tab.
Enable “Store password using reversible encryption” option and click “OK” button close user account properties.
3: Reset user account password by right clicking on user account and select “Reset Password…” option.
Type in either same or new password in “New password:” and “Confirm password:” fields to reset password.
NOTE: To avoid complication or confusion for stores, user account password can be set as their existing account password. Password change is only needed to get reverse encryption working regardless of the password itself.
· Assuming store account “pubs5808” is using “store1234” as their existing password.
· After enabling “Store password using reversible encryption” option on user account, password can be set again as “store1234” to get the store working seamlessly.
