Issue: When performing a transaction on the Move 5000 PATT device a "Key Exchange" message displays while processing a payment card
Resolution:
Every day, all of the devices need to perform an update with Chase to ensure all of the latest software and security patches have been loaded on the device. Part of this update is to perform a security key update. This will happen on the first transaction of the day on every terminal.
If the first transaction is a Credit card, this automatically happens after the transaction approves.
If the first transaction is Debit, then when they get this message, you must cancel and press the debit/credit button again.
Chase will be working on an update to improve this process.
