To troubleshoot a shortage on the FMR, you should:
- Run the Consolidated RVC Sales Detail Report
Select Autosequence and Reports from the restaurant's desktop:
Select the Consolidated RVC Sales Detail Report from the menu:
confirm that ‘checks began’/’checks paid’ match in both check count and dollar value for each RVC.
The physical cash deposit total should match what is entered on the FMR. If not, please adjust it to the correct total after double checking.
2. Run the Force Closed Checks report:
Under the More Reports section, select Custom Reports:
Select the Force Closed Checks report:
Select the correct business dates with the shortage and run the report. This will indicate any check numbers which were forced closed and the check total associated to it:
The FMR should then be adjusted based on the method of payment to account for these force closed checks.
